Are You Speaking Journalese Or English To Your Viewers?

Do you write your stories as if you were talking one-on-one with a viewer, or are you writing in that crazy language used only by TV news people – dropping auxiliary verbs, using coptalk jargon, or any of the other cliches that have become far too common in TV news?
