A Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter has written a powerful column which not only includes a lot of the “story behind the story” of West Virginia Public News Service reporter Dan Heyman’s arrest, but also includes Heyman’s actual recording as he tried to question HHS Secretary Price at the West Virginia capitol a couple weeks ago.
The author also provides background on why the question Dan Heyman was trying to ask Sec. Price is a really important one – especially for the people of West Virginia.
This column will resonate with any reporter who’s tried to chase down a story – both literally and figuratively. Read it here.
More than two weeks after the incident, which has drawn national attention in journalism circles, the charges against Heyman have not been dropped.
