Al Jazeera America did a lot of things right – hired solid journalists with solid credentials, built a state-of-the-art newsroom, and aggressively went after stories. Some say they should have named the news channel something else. Some say the public isn’t interested in long-form news stories. For whatever the reasons, it never caught on.
