Friedman to serve on Public Records Board

Attorney James Friedman of Godfrey & Kahn has been appointed to the Wisconsin Public Records Board.

Friedman is an attorney for the WBA State Legal Hotline. He also sits on the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council and recently served on the Study Committee on the Use of Police Body Cameras representing newspapers and broadcasters.

The board is responsible for the preservation of state records. State agencies must have written approval from the board to dispose of records.

The appointment was made by Gov. Tony Evers.
