Data Journalism: Don’t Be Afraid Of “That Math Thing”

If you know that a sales tax increase from 4 percent to 5 percent is a 25 percent increase, not a 1 percent increase (it’s a one percentage point increase), you might not have to worry about “data Journalism”. You have a decent understanding of data and math.  More and more, the people who do the hiring in the broadcast business are insisting that their job candidates understand data.
